Event helps local families enjoy the outdoors
Families in Linn and Benton counties are invited to a free event promoting outdoor fun on Saturday, May 31 at Peavy Arboretum. National Get Outdoors Day is a nationwide celebration of healthy living, forest education and appreciating the great outdoors, and this year’s event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Layne Phillips is a sophomore in the College of Forestry. She spent most of winter term in Chile as part of Forestry’s “From the Andes to the Sea” faculty-led study abroad program.
