Today in the News Media guidelines:
Today in the News Media is a synopsis of some of the most prominent coverage of OSU people and programs. Inclusion of any item constitutes neither an endorsement nor a critique, but is intended only to make the OSU community aware of significant items in the media.
- Content appearing includes timely news and feature stories from broadcast, print and online sources.
- Occasionally, opinion pieces and first-person columns appearing in mainstream media outlets that are written by faculty members and pertain to their academic or professional expertise may be included based on their unique, informative value, timeliness and space constraints.
- It is not the policy of OSU Today to include Letters to the Editor. OSU Today does not include articles about faculty, staff or students running for political office or engaging in other political activities outside of their OSU capacity.
- However, we will occasionally include articles featuring faculty experts weighing in on political subjects as part of their research or teaching.
- When articles highlighted in OSU Today are behind a paywall, we will offer a PDF version of the article by request. Many subscription-only publications, like the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, can be accessed by anyone with an OSU email account through the search function on the OSU Libraries home page, which grants free access to many publications. Go to the OSU Libraries homepage and then use 1Search.
