New program allows crafters to make and sell officially licensed OSU products

Oregon crafters will now have the opportunity to create and sell licensed Oregon State University products to their customers, thanks to a new program called OSU Community Connect. Up until now, the cost of obtaining a license, as well as procuring insurance and other requirements, was prohibitive to at-home crafters.

Thank you to the nearly 1,100 participants who participated in OSU Today Readership Survey in April. Through the comments we gathered, we will be making some improvements to our digest and website to reflect some of these suggestions, some of which you might already be noticing. In Memoriam: Melody Oldfield

Melody Oldfield, who helped promote Beaver Nation for 24 years, died Jan. 21 at her home in North Carolina. She was 60. Melody joined Oregon State University in 1999, serving as director of University Marketing and as an assistant vice president for University Relations and Marketing from 2013 until her retirement in 2023. She helped build an award-winning marketing team and led development of Oregon State’s Powered by Orange and Out There creative campaigns, among others.
