Oregon State University will host a site visit by an evaluation team from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities next week as part of renewing its accreditation by the NWCCU. The site visit will be at OSU-Cascades April 7 and at the Corvallis campus April 8-10.
Oregon State University is gearing up for the 2026 Governor's State Employees Food Drive, which takes place through the month of March. In 2025, OSU employees raised the equivalent of 457,837 meals, more meals per employee than any other participating agency in Oregon.

Environmental Health and Safety is helping build sustainable laboratory safety programs by engaging with researchers, faculty and students across the university and offering support, process improvement and recommendations.
Prior to 2018, EH&S noted that laboratories were struggling to maintain compliance with certain safety regulations. As EH&S staff and resources expanded, they began formalizing processes and developing a stronger culture of safety practices in laboratories.
A new general education curriculum has been launched at Oregon State University that will prepare students to be proactive members of society who are ready to build a better world.
In the early 1990s, when Oregon State’s Baccalaureate Core was first implemented, it was considered visionary, and was even featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education for its unique and thoughtful approach. But as the world changed, the core didn’t quite keep up.
