University Day expands into PRAx parking lot to accommodate growing expo this year

Oregon State University recently hosted an international conference that brought together hundreds of researchers, writers, students and practitioners to learn about cultivating equitable and environmentally sound food and agricultural systems.
A human-powered submarine, a quarter-scale tractor and a wildfire management simulation video game are among the roughly 200 senior capstone projects that will be on display June 6 at the 2025 College of Engineering Expo.

Petty will interview Wyden about his recent book, “It Takes Chutzpah: How to Fight Fearlessly for Progressive Change.” Petty was the Oregon news editor for the AP for 18 years, after working as an AP foreign correspondent based in Germany.
OSU is collaborating with Portland State University to host the annual Conference for Advancing Participatory Sciences (CAPS) from May 27-30, an event that aims to promote public engagement in the sciences through hands-on community involvement.
Participatory science, also known as citizen science or community science, is research done by volunteers who are participating for their own enjoyment rather than as part of a job or educational requirements.

The 46th annual Oregon State University łatwa ina Pow-Wow will be held Saturday, May 17 at Gill Coliseum, 660 SW 26th St., Corvallis. The free community event celebrates Indigenous culture and heritage, and is presented by the Native American Student Association and Kaku-Ixt Mana Ina Haws in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs and other university partners.
The Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2025-26 season on April 30, with an increased slate of events and exhibitions to keep its many venues booked and busy.
Standout events include the new artist-in-residence, percussionist and steel pan musician Andy Akiho, along with several performances and lectures exploring the new season’s theme of “Arts + AI.”
