PRISM, Orange Media Network's arts and literature magazine at Oregon State University, has received a first place Pinnacle award for Literary Magazine of the Year.

Each of OMN's six student media programs received national recognition this month as part of awards announced by the College Media Association and the Associate Collegiate Press. Awards from the two organizations that recognize the best in college media across the country. CMA sponsors the Pinnacles, which were announced as part of MediaFest25, held Oct. 16-18 in Washington, D.C.

This is the second consecutive year with a first-place Pinnacle for PRISM. The magazine also received a national Pacemaker in 2023, an award considered to be the Pulitzer Prize of student journalism.

In addition to PRISM's Pinnacle, OMN's fashion magazine, DAMchic, received third place for Feature Magazine of the Year. On the broadcast side, KBVR-FM received third place for Audio Outlet of the Year and KBVR-TV received an honorable mention for Video Outlet of the Year.

OMN's student newspaper, The Daily Barometer, and its lifestyle magazine, Beaver's Digest, were named finalists for Pacemakers.

Individual students also received national recognition from CMA:
